Even without star guard Janaiya Quinerly, Lake Taylor cruised against Pulaski County to earn the program’s fourth state title.

Lake Taylor started the contest fast and furious, staking a 17-10 lead at the end of the first quarter and extending the margin to 20 at the half. Jazmyn Doster led the Titans with 17 points 14 rebounds. Chaniqwa Gilliam added 16 points, while Jordan Poole contributed 13.

The state title is also the fourth for Titans head coach Saundra Sawyer, who now supersedes her husband, Titans varsity football coach Hank Sawyer, by two in that category.
