Kings Fork’s Epps, Hite earn Class 4 honors

Kings Fork sophomore Jayden Epps was voted this year’s Class 4 state player of the year, the Virginia High School League announced earlier today.

The sophomore guard averaged 28.1 points, 8 assists, 6 rebounds and four steals this season, also earning I-64 Sports player of the year honors. Also earning all-state first-team honors was Woodrow Wilson senior forward Khaliyl Davis. Menchville’s Chaunce Jenkins, Kings Fork’s Quentin Livingston and Lake Taylor guard Zyrail Mitchell were selected to the second team.

Bulldogs coach Rick Hite was selected as Coach of the Year after leading the program to the Region 4A title and share of the Class 4 state title.
