Norfolk Collegiate slips past Veritas (VIDEO)

Behind a strong first half from freshman guard Samuel Brannen, Norfolk Collegiate held off Veritas Collegiate 89-80 in private school action on Wednesday.

Brannen finished with 21 points for the game as the Oaks held off a strong surge after intermission for Veritas. The Spartans outscored Norfolk Collegiate 27-10 in the third quarter. Salem (VB) transfer Cameron Kearney led all scorers with 26 points.

The two teams will face off again this Saturday at Norfolk Collegiate School. Tip-off is scheduled for 4:00pm.
