ODU Men earn NCAA bid; NSU accepts NIT invite

For the first time in eight years, Old Dominion Men’s Basketball Team is going dancing! The Monarchs clinched a bid with a win over Western Kentucky in the Conference USA tournament final.

The commonwealth state had five teams earn NCAA bids this year, with UVA, Virginia Tech, Liberty and VCU also making appearances. ODU (26-9) will take on #4 seed Purdue on Thursday in Hartford, Conn. Tip-off is scheduled for 9:50 pm EST.

MEAC regular season champions Norfolk State accepted a bid to play in the NIT. The #8 Spartans will travel to #1 Alabama for its first round matchup.
