PA girls dominate to earn 6th straight state title

Princess Anne entered Tuesday’s Class 5 girls championship game seeking its sixth consecutive state title. The Lady Cavaliers led from start to finish in wrapping another ring for head coach Darnell Dozier, defeating Thomas Edison 69-55.

Senior Brianna Jackson led the Lady Cavaliers with another dominant state championship performance, finishing with 23 points, 16 rebounds and five blocks. Edison fell behind by double digits at the half, as Mahogany Lester 14 first-half points to pace the Cavaliers. . Never a good recipe for win against a Dozier-led squad.

Aziaha James added 17 points. Bri Johns led Edison with 19 points. Carole Miller added 15.
