Jamal Brown, a sixth grade student-athlete from Portsmouth, is earning rave reviews across the country after destroying competition at an national travel basketball tournament over the weekend.

Brown, a member of the Boo Williams Summer League team, has taken social media by storm following a pair of thunderous dunks in Sunday’s game action. The dunks has already been posted on Overtime, with Brown’s exploits also being featured on SBNation.com on Monday. Brown also posted a screenshot of a message from rapper Lil Baby, among others.

In the past two years, Brown has transformed into arguably the top middle school prospect in the Hampton Roads area, and one of the best in the country. The 6-foot-4 forward was also named MVP of the I-64 Sports Futures Classic, after finishing with a double-double.
