It was rivalry night to end week one of the inaugural 757 Youth Basketball Summer League. The Norfolk Titans and Greyhounds Elite locked horns in a highly-anticipated matchup in the Pee Wee Division.

The Greyhounds jumped out on the visiting Titans early, staking a 9-0 lead early in the first quarter. Once again, it was the sensational play of Monday night’s Player of the Game, Jalen Freeman, that paced the Greyhounds early.

It was a dog fight in the second, but Freeman and the Greyhounds were able to prevail. Antwone Wright earned Player of the Game honors as the Greyhounds moved to 2-0 to open league play.  Keron Kelley and Chris Moton Jr combined for seven points in the Titans’ loss.

In the first game of Wednesday night’s doubleheader, the Portsmouth City Blue Devils took on BWSL Red Tide-2028. The Blue Devils raced out to an early lead and never looked back. It was a solid defensive effort by the Red Tide, but the Blue Devils secured their first regular season win in convincing fashion.  Damario Warren led the way with a game-high 10 points.

Here is a look at Monday’s Pee Wee schedule:
